As this is all new to me, I'm sure there is something I've overlooked. Like many independent authors, I must learn as I go.
As I put my first manuscript through the editing and proofing process, I'm beginning to feel the excitement of having a book completed. As of now, the final section has been sent to an editor and I await its return. The cover is already finished and I've followed the advice of some very wise friends and obtained a Twitter account. Already I have some followers, which is fantastic, and I have found some great people to follow as well. I haven't decided on any other social media yet. I've been advised that maintaining a social media presence is very time-consuming. And I just want to write! So I'll have to give that some thought.

Hi, Evan. I love your memory. I'm reminded of my own first loves, how my life was forever changed by those relationships. Going through each emotional experience, is stepping forward, learning, and my faith never wavered. My first early "fiance" died at 15, in a car accident; 7 years later, my first husband died at 21, in a car accident, leaving me widowed with two children.

Hi Analisa, thank you for your comment. Sounds like you've had a lot of loss in your life. Yet you've found a way to keep on going. I'm happy that you've found a good man to share your life with you. If you've made it 38 years, that is true love for sure.
